| چکیده : | The book titled Postmodern Feminist Writers explores the much-debated problematics of postmodernist and feminist ideologies by critically examining certain key-texts written by women writers across cultures. The writers examined are Margaret Atwood, a Canadian novelist, Toni Morrison, an African American novelist and two Indian novelists, Shashi Deshpande and Gita Hariharan. The book is divided into five chapters. The first chapter highlights the theoretical frameworks of Postmodernism and Feminism thereby pointing out the various perspectives from which the works of four novelists would be analysed. Chapter two analyses nine novels by Margaret Atwood, Chapter three takes up six novels by Toni Morrison while Chapter four is devoted to an in-depth analysis of Postmodernism-Feminism nexus in the Indian context and illustrates it through an exploration of two novels and a short story collection by Gita Hariharan and five novels by Shashi Deshpande. The fifth chapter sums up the conclusion arrived at after a close examination of the fictional corpus of the four novelists taken up for study | لینک ثابت رکورد: | ../opac/index.php?lvl=record_display&id=3302 | زبان مدرک : | English |
